Seeford's Spot

Reader, not a writer, and like to keep it that way - I'd rather be reading!
The Hum and the Shiver - Alex Bledsoe Eh. Forced myself to finish this last night, which is a big reason for only 2 stars. This whole book was very slow buildup and then last 10 minutes of reading, all the action of the book happens (and is pretty anti-climactic, IMO.) Didn't really care what happened to the characters, lots of 'tell' rather than 'show', some gratuitous sexuality that was graphically and derogatorily described and just not necessary to the plot. I wasn't offended, but I don't recommend this unless the reader is at least 16 or older.
I'm sure there will be other books written to follow the characters, but with the buildup/description I read for the book, it just didn't live up to expectations; so I won't be reading further.
